"About Me"

Hello, my name is Jonathan Iberri-Gutierrez and I’m currently a freshman Pre-Political Science major. I’m from Fontana, CA which is a small city near San Bernardino and Riverside. I’m the first member of my family to attend a four-year university. There are many things about me that I could put into this but ill just put a few. My favorite thing to do to past time is too read. I enjoy reading a a lot and I mean a lot. It wont always be school related stuff because I was known to procrastinate a lot but I still got my work done on time. I also enjoy listening to music because it helps me relax and sometimes helps me focus while I do school work. My favorite movies would have to be the Star Wars saga with a mild dislike of episodes 1-3. I also, like the The Lord of the Rings movies as well as the books. My favorite things to read however are fanfictions. Fanfictions are essentially stories that are based on actual books, anime, movies, etc. but fan authors place their own twist into the story or they make a completely new story. My favorite sport to play as well as watch would have to be soccer. I grew up playing soccer and I enjoy watching the European league teams play. I also enjoy rock climbing, especially its subdivision of bouldering,. Bouldering is basically rock climbing on a cliff face without the safety gear. This is extremely dangerous because if you fall there is nothing there to catch you, unless there is an air cushion set-up at the bottom. I have broken my hand while bouldering because I lost my footing and my hand has stuck inside a crack so the pull broke my hand. Worst experience of my life because I was already too high up that climbing down or even falling down onto the air cushion wasn’t really feasible so I had to suck up the pain and continue on for a little bit more to the top. This was a little about me.

  1. First off, the entire Lord of the Rings series is amazing and the books are even better. You might have already read it, but The Silmarillion by Tolkien is somewhat of a prequel to the series, and just talks about a bunch of cool stuff, you should check it out! Also, climbing is awesome, and you’re a badass for the broken wrist completion!
